The Garden Hale

One thing that has always appealed to me is the thought of going out for breakfast/bunch.  In so many places now it seems to be becoming more and more popular, as everyone obviously loves breakfast food however in my little town it doesn't seem such as 'a thing'.  Last week I finally got my wish and headed to Hale to one of my favorite organic healthy food cafe's - The Garden.

I've been to The Garden a couple of times now for lunch and absolutely loved it. I just couldn't wait to write a fabulous review for these guys. It's the friendliest, most warming place and I love having a good chat with each of the girls their. Walking in is like being in a place of my expertise, with green juices, Deliciously Ella's recipe book on display and shelves stocked with Pip & Nut almond butter, I'm in my element. They sell the most delicious, nutritious dishes, cleansing juices & some outstanding, cheeky healthy desserts (I must add I've fallen in love with their raw vegan brownies!) If you love anything from veggie spagetti, to amazing falafel salads, to raw cheesecakes, to almond milk lattes... This place is for you!

But of course as a breakfast fantasist, I have been itching to test out the breakfast menu, so it only seemed the right thing to do.

We first sat down ordered out drinks, my dad went for a Chai latte while I went for Matcha latte which tasted amazing! Perfectly cleansing and creamy and has now become my favorite drink!

Obviously when being faced with the menu I was overwhelmed by all the amazing options, I wanted to try everything and couldn't decide... Granola bowls, Quinioa porridge, buckwheat pancakes, smoothies bowls - I was in complete breakfast heaven. I've always had a sweet tooth at breakfast, my weakness being nut butters... So it was a little surprising when the Vegan Full English was suddenly calling my name. I can safely say it was the best decision, ever!

It came out like breakfast for an absolute king (or queen) it literally had all the works! Homemade beans, tomatoes, spinach, sweet potato hash brown (the best ever) , mushrooms, avocado, asparagus, gluten free toast & vegan sausages which were quite literally the yummiest vegan sausages I've had! (Even my dad liked them) I was in complete and utter veggie, brekkie heaven. I also had a very large but happy food baby, haha.
My dad went for the Buckwheat American style pancakes with banana and healthy homemade chocolate spread, which came out looking equally as delicious!!! I do have my sweet tooth so these are must next time.

We finished off with a few more juices. relaxed & of course couldn't resist buying a few of their amazing raw, cashew brownies to take home!

So if you're in the Manchester/Hale area I highly recommend you go and check out these guys, as I can assure you wont regret it. Whether it be breakfast, lunch or a quick tea and cake stop you won't be disheartened by the amazing food & people.

  1. Hey Holli! I'm here and adored to read your post!! This Vegan brownies look soooo yummi!!! And I have to confess that I would prefer to have this Vegan full English instead of the 1493cal version one as breakfast, I got soooo fat while I wa sthere!! LOL But I would do miss the poached eggs unfortunately... something I would clearly need to swap for a cleansing delicious juice... love it HollI! I'm sure you had a great time there and the pics are amazing! http://brazenglishcouple.blogspot.com (my brand new blog!)
